Want to be sure you’re working with a professional? Choose an interior designer who is a member of the Professional Association of Dutch Interior Designers. With a BNI interior designer, you can rely on extensive experience, expertise, clear agreements, and solid contracts.
Why BNI?
More than three hundred interior designers are members of the BNI. They have completed a recognized training program, are registered in the architects’ register, and have at least three years of practical experience. In addition, they have committed themselves to the rules of conduct established by the association.
Working method
Step 1
Initial introductory meeting and assessment of the existing situation (completely free of charge).
During this meeting, we will clarify your wishes and I will be able to assess what is and isn’t possible from a structural point of view.
Once we have agreed on a budget, I will get straight to work for you…
Step 2
Second consultation and presentation of the preliminary design. (completely free of charge)
(the design remains the intellectual property of Ontwerpplaats; see terms and conditions)
During this consultation, I will present my preliminary design in the form of a poster. This is still completely free of charge.
Building and/or renovating is not something you do every day, and what you want is a party that knows what they are doing, that you trust, and that can guide you through the entire process. (You can read reviews in the collage & reviews section).
Step 3
You award the contract to Ontwerpplaats.
The fee charged is approximately 10% of the total construction costs/budget. (This depends on the project and is in accordance with DNR 2011. In some cases, we charge an additional fee for project management, but we will discuss this with you in advance.) We carry out all the work necessary to bring the project to a successful conclusion.
Drawings
From preliminary design, final design, detailed drawings, furniture designs, materials proposal, consultation with the constructor, and, if necessary, the entire permit application.
Project management:
We provide a schedule, cost estimate, quotes from contractors and all subcontractors. During the execution, we are regularly present on site to supervise all work. I strive for a high level of finish. To achieve this, I closely supervise “all” parties involved in the execution and leave nothing to chance. I will keep you well informed of the progress until the end of the entire project. My goal is to guide you through the entire process without any worries, with an end result that you can expect.
